We are a group of highly qualified, Board Certified psychiatrists and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners licensed in multiple states in the United States. We work exclusively through Telepsychiatry and TeleMental Health. Our psychiatrists have years of training and experience (outpatient, inpatient, emergency/crisis) in general adult psychiatry, and many have specialty training in Child/Adolescent, Perinatal, Addiction, Forensic, Emergency, Consultation & Liaison, and Geriatric psychiatry.
Our main objective is two fold:
1. To provide high quality psychiatric care to underserved and remote populations via HIPAA compliant, secure teleconferencing equipment and software; and
2. To greatly enhance CONTINUITY OF CARE for both the patients and the treatment providers (for agencies as a whole, for patients, and for individual physicians/clinicians).
Telepsychiatry and TeleMental Health Care can serve to meet or enhance patient access to care in any situation where there is a patient with a psychiatric or mental health need and a local psychiatrist is not readily available. In order to accomplish this, we contract with Public Service (City, County and State Mental Health Agencies, ACT Programs, Hospitals, Law Enforcement, Federal Mental Health Service Programs, and Residential Mental Health Treatment Centers) and private entities (HMOs, PPOs, and Private Insurance Providers) currently in twelve states throughout the United States in order to provide the highest quality, evidence-based telepsychiatry services. We do not provide services directly to the public.

Our Services
We put great value on personal relationships with our patients and contracted agencies. Telepsychiatry is not the next best thing to being there; it is being there.
- American Telepsychiatrists provides immediate psychiatric evaluation or consultation in contracted facilities. We use secure televideo software which facilitate real-time, face to face encounters between patients and our physicians and nurse practitioners. This eliminates the geographic or economic barriers that often stand in the way of receiving treatment.
- We provide complete psychiatric evaluations and medication management for all specialty areas of psychiatry.
- We work exclusively through TeleVideo Conferencing to serve Managed Care Companies, HMOs, Federal, State and County Agencies. We do not offer providers physically in your building, and we do not provide services directly to the public.
